Kidney Disease in Pregnancy

Pregnancy in patients with renal disease is a high risk pregnancy. These patients  often develop a number of complications such as worsening hypertension, proteinuria and renal dysfunction which require specialized care.

Dr. Cheryl Kunis is a nephrologist at Columbia University Division of Nephrology who has extensive experience in caring for pregnant patients with kidney disease or renal transplant. She works closely with the Renal Transplant and Obstetrics departments to optimize care with a specialized multidisciplinary approach.
